I Want to be Different… Our Website Navigation Technique that’s Out of the Ordinary!

This particular client (A) likes to take a different approach to everything he does, and (B) is a master practitioner in neuro-linguistic training. With that in mind, we opted to do something rather different when it came to his website…

The first thing you see when you visit the site is a graphic representation of a brain with each page or section represented by a small graphic icon. There’s no text to tell you what to do (until you hover over an icon) and no text regarding the company or services. The idea is to shock the user by presenting something they weren’t expecting from a typical site and also to encourage the user to explore!

But what about SEO? Well, by using a rather nifty, smooth scrolling technique we have kept all the relevant information on the home page. Click on the cog or the person icon and you will see what we mean! You can navigate back to the brain using the small house shaped button at the end of each section OR by using an additional ‘pop-out’ website navigation bar on the left hand side.

In addition to the main site, we’ve also integrated a wordpress blog, client testimonials and social media links. All-in-all it’s been an interesting site to work on.!

We wanted to reflect the company ethos of Landmark Nutrition with a clean and simple web design. The idea is to instantly inform the visitor about what Landmark Nutrition provides – both visually (using a selection of great imagery) and with a simple statement that leaves no doubt about what they do.

The site contains a wealth of information that helps provide great SEO and also reassures the visitor about the services provided. All-in-all, this site works well on many levels without being cluttered or confusing!

Whether we’re a way on business or traveling for personal reasons we just can’t resist immersing ourselves in the architecture, design and street art of the place we’re visiting. This means our cameras get a battering but it also adds to the Design Community inspiration pot.

New Website for Cottingham Parks Golf & Leisure Club

Following a lengthy design and build period, we have finally launched the new look website for Cottingham Parks Golf and Leisure Club. The new site integrates a wide range of features including on-line bookings for two 18 hole golf courses, health club classes and holiday lodges.

With a raft of information to get across to the users, we needed to keep this as simple and clear as possible and avoid having numerous clicks to get to what you need. The site also features an integrated, bespoke news system for many different areas of the club along with access to timetables, menus, course guides and pricelists.

Hot Chicks & Mature Birds..!

It’s not often Tim walks into the office and tells us he needs to take pictures of three hot chicks. Using our pop-up light tent and light system, we decided to set up the shoot in the studio. Luckily, our pop-up light tent had a Perspex base to ensure any accidents were avoided!

Louise was our ‘chick wrangler’ while Tim and Dean took the shots using a Canon EOS 60D and a Nikon D7000.
